Nashville may be known for country music, but come April 18-20, it’s all about cosplay, manga, and gaming. The Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) is back for 2025, drawing anime fans from across the U.S. and beyond to the Sheraton Music City Hotel and Embassy Suites Nashville Airport.

This year’s theme, “Another World,” taps into the ever-popular isekai genre, where characters are transported to alternate realities—a fitting motif for a weekend where daily life gives way to elaborate costumes and immersive fandom.

MTAC 2025 offers something for every attendee: insightful panels, competitive gaming, fan-favorite cosplay contests, and late-night events for adult audiences. The convention spans two hotel venues, with a shuttle running between them for convenience.

While MTAC is a regional favorite, its growing attendance and international guests underscore the global reach of anime culture. Organizers encourage fans to pre-register early, as past events have reached capacity quickly.

Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the scene, MTAC offers an inclusive and energetic dive into the world of Japanese pop culture—no passport required.
