Nashville’s creative community is getting a vital boost thanks to a free legal clinic hosted by Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts (VLPA). Set for Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., this pro bono event will be held at the Country Music Association offices at 35 Music Square E #201.

Open exclusively to artists and musicians, the clinic provides 30-minute private consultations with volunteer attorneys to address a wide range of arts-related legal concerns. These include contract review, copyright protection, dispute resolution, and business formation—essential knowledge for anyone navigating the creative industries.

Appointments are limited; participants must register by May 2, 2025, to secure their spot. The goal is to ensure that local creatives have access to expert legal guidance tailored to their unique challenges, helping protect their work and strengthen their business practices.

VLPA’s initiative highlights the importance of legal empowerment in the arts, supporting the professionals who keep Nashville’s cultural scene vibrant and thriving.
