After 16 years of crafting some of Nashville’s finest cocktails, The Patterson House is preparing to close the doors of its iconic Division Street location. Come April’s end, the celebrated bar will relocate to the rooftop of the Bill Voorhees Building on 8th Avenue South—a dramatic shift for one of the city’s original speakeasy-style haunts.
This isn’t just a move—it’s a transformation. In tandem with sister restaurant The Catbird Seat, The Patterson House is expanding into over 8,000 square feet atop the sleek, billion-dollar Paseo South Gulch development. Bigger views, more space, elevated experiences—without losing the intimate, dimly lit charm that made it legendary.

Strategic Hospitality’s co-founder Benjamin Goldberg says the change was inevitable- "One of the main reasons we were exploring the move was that we have just outgrown the space that we're currently in." The new space is going to be spectacular, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t feel the nostalgia.
April marks the end of an era—and a celebration of everything that’s made The Patterson House a staple of Nashville’s food and drink scene. Expect a series of farewell events, special menus, and maybe a few surprises before the lights dim for the last time at its original home.
If you’ve ever loved a drink here, this is your last chance to raise a glass on Division Street.
